Brookes Vaughan
WHNP-BC, Founder & Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner
Brookes Vaughan is the founder of The Women’s Health Company and a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She lives in Watkinsville, Georgia, just outside of Athens, with her husband, Schuyler, their two young children, Walker Ann and Woods, and their golden retriever, Riggins.
Brookes is a proud University of Georgia alumna where she received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Public Health. She then went on to receive her Master's of Science in Nursing as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
Brookes spent the first nearly six years of her career at one of the largest OB-GYN clinics in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she gained extensive experience treating women of all ages with a wide variety of conditions, including PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, thyroid disorders, infertility, endometriosis, and healthy and high-risk pregnancies. While this fast-paced environment provided her with invaluable clinical experience, it often left her wanting more time with her patients to uncover root causes and truly help women heal.
This desire for deeper, personalized care inspired the creation of The Women’s Health Company. When Brookes and her husband moved to Athens in 2019, she founded the practice with the goal of treating each woman as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Her approach blends the best of functional and traditional medicine, creating integrative, personalized care plans that focus on root causes and long-term wellness.
At The Women’s Health Company, Brookes leads a team of compassionate providers and nurses dedicated to educating, equipping, encouraging, and empowering women to live healthy, whole, and holy lives. She believes that when women thrive, their families, communities, and workplaces thrive as well, creating a ripple effect of health and well-being.
